Job summary

LAC Federal in Washington, DC seeks an experienced Librarian / Information Resources Manager to provide leadership and operational oversight of library and information resources for a federal library supporting regulatory and legal oversight.

You will manage specialized research services, electronic resources, library systems, and subscription data platforms used by accountants, attorneys, economists, and regulatory professionals.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Library Science or related field; or BA with relevant experience.
• 5+ years in librarian or information resources management.
• Experience leading programs and supervising staff.
• Experience with advanced Library Services Platforms.
• Knowledge of MARC, RDA, AACR2, LC Classification.
• Strong budget, vendor management, and reporting skills.
• Experience with SharePoint environments.
• Ability to communicate with executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic vision for information resources aligned with Agency goals.
• Oversee electronic data, online services, and print resources.
• Supervise library team delivering high-quality services.
• Manage subscriptions budgets and vendor renewals.
• Ensure information governance and compliance, incl. AI policies.
• Train staff and advise program leaders on information needs.
• Lead complex research efforts and present findings to leadership.
