Qualifications

• Master's degree in Library/Information Science from an institution accredited by the American Library Association.
• Minimum five years of experience with progressively complex library technologies such as open-source integrated library systems and virtual help desk systems.
• Experience analyzing databases, datasets, and statistics.
• Professional-level writing and editing skills.
• Superior customer service skills and the ability to collaborate professionally with peers and upper management.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the library's operational lead under the direction of the Library Program Manager.
• Manage and improve library workflows, business processes, information systems, and service delivery.
• Administer physical and digital collections, electronic resources, bibliographies, and virtual lending services.
• Monitor corrections literature, public policy, court cases, and other relevant information sources.
• Manage and integrate library and content management systems.
• Conduct data analysis, statistical reporting, and information synthesis.
• Oversee original and copy cataloging activities, including MARC record coding.
• Administer and update digital content, blogs, forums, and social media.
• Edit web content using HTML and Drupal.
• Review and remediate documents for Section 508 accessibility compliance.
• Develop and deliver presentations and training for library users, government personnel, and staff.
• Support organizational change, process reengineering, and continuous improvement initiatives.
