LAC Federal seeks an experienced Librarian and Information Resources Manager to lead library services for a federal agency in Washington, DC. You will oversee specialized research services, electronic resources, library systems, and subscription data platforms used by regulators, attorneys, economists, and analysts.

The role requires strategic vision, budget and vendor management, and executive‑level communication to ensure critical resources support the agency’s regulatory mission.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Library Science, Information Services, Business, or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in librarian or information resource management.
• Experience in program leadership and staff supervision.
• Experience with managing advanced Library Services Platforms.
• Familiarity with cataloging and metadata standards (MARC, RDA, AACR2, LC).
• Experience supporting and managing complex budgets and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership and Management: align information resources with agency goals and supervise the library team.
• Information Resource Optimization: manage library services platform modules (cataloging, circulation, acquisitions, ERM, OPAC).
• Budget and Vendor Oversight: develop and monitor publication budgets and vendor renewals.
• Data Governance and Compliance: enforce policies for information resources and AI governance.
• Stakeholder Engagement and Training: train staff and consult with program leaders.
• Research and Content Delivery: lead complex research using academic and industry publications.
