Job summary

DNV Group is seeking a Head of Department (VP), Growth, Strategy & Market Development to drive the next phase of growth for Energy Management. You will lead a national, multidisciplinary team to win new business, develop scalable client solutions, and strengthen commercial and operational capabilities for delivery.

You will connect market insights with client needs, lead priority pursuits, and strengthen pricing, governance, and execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• 10+ years of growth strategy experience in utilities, energy services, or consulting.
• Demand-side management knowledge of energy markets and regulatory context.
• Proven ability to influence outcomes across a matrixed organization.
• Strong commercial judgment balancing growth, value, delivery, and risk.
• English language proficiency; ability to travel domestically ~50%.

Responsibilities

• Lead priority pursuits and shape competitive positioning for growth.
• Develop and implement sales and market strategies with key accounts.
• Negotiate contracts with Legal team, balancing client value and risk.
• Oversee design and delivery of differentiated program offerings.
• Foster innovation, AI/data adoption, and cross-functional collaboration.
