Job summary

Appian is seeking a senior leader to transform its global talent acquisition infrastructure. You will modernize systems, implement structured assessments, and drive operational excellence to accelerate hiring quality for a fast-growing AI-powered process automation company.

The People Team at Appian leads end-to-end TA infrastructure, enabling attraction, assessment, and onboarding of top talent across engineering, sales, customer success, and corporate functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• 12+ years of progressive product or operations leadership experience in enterprise environments, with at least 5 years within HR or Talent Acquisition functions.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and optimizing structured assessment platforms and candidate selection frameworks.
• Demonstrated success designing and scaling tailored workflows and operational models across varied business functions and international regions.
• Proven history of operating as an execution machine, owning projects end-to-end and driving outcomes.
• Experience managing, coaching, and developing talent with a track record of building high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement a structured assessment framework to standardize candidate evaluation and improve hiring quality.
• Partner with the Global Head of TA to deliver strategic initiatives and reliable execution.
• Drive TA operational excellence through SOP development and data audits.
• Modernize the recruiting tech stack, enable reporting, and troubleshoot system integrations.
• Manage and develop a high-performing TA operations team and foster continuous improvement.
