Osmo is hiring to lead Quality Control in its Elizabeth, NJ plant. You will own QC across raw materials and finished fragrance, using both automated testing and sensory evaluation to decide accept/reject in real time.

You will design and implement the QC program, build and lead a growing team, and partner with Purchasing, Warehouse, and production teams to ensure product quality from material receipt to customer delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in fragrance QC; direct fragrance industry experience required; adjacent industries not acceptable.
• Builder: stood up or fixed a QC process, not just operate inside someone else’s system.
• Trained nose with organoleptic evaluation for fragrance materials and finished goods.
• Independent decision-maker comfortable making frequent accept/reject calls without over-escalation.
• Quality systems fluent: documentation, audits, CAPA/root-cause processes in manufacturing.

Responsabilités

• Own Raw Material Quality: judge results from automated testing and decide true defects.
• Apply trained olfactive judgment to evaluate raw materials and finished goods.
• Protect finished goods quality with triangulation testing before product release.
• Build the QC program: design and improve processes, docs, and systems.
• Make the call: accept or reject in real time.
• Fix gaps: identify and drive corrective actions rather than following a preset system.
• Own investigations: lead root cause analysis and drive corrective actions.
• Run the lab: maintain lab docs, SOPs, method records, calibration.
• Track quality KPIs: monitor turnaround time and recurring issues.
• Build the team: lead QC team as headcount grows.
• Partner across the floor: collaborate with Purchasing, Warehouse, Production, and AI team.
