Job summary

Osmo is seeking a QC leader to build and run a full QC program at its Elizabeth, NJ plant. You will own raw material quality, apply sensory evaluation, and guard finished goods quality while designing processes and documentation from ground up.

You'll lead investigations, manage lab operations, track QC KPIs, and grow a team as Osmo scales. This is a hands-on, on-site, high-initiative role with cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in fragrance QC required; adjacent fields don't meet the bar.
• Builder mindset: stood up or fixed a QC process.
• Organoleptic and sensory evaluation skills for fragrance materials.
• Independent decision-maker with high-frequency accept/reject calls.
• Fluent in quality documentation, audits, CAPA and root cause processes.
• Direct communicator; thrives in a fast-moving, evolving environment.
• Technical degree preferred; equivalent hands-on experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Own raw material quality and decide out-of-spec vs normal variation.
• Apply olfactive judgment to evaluate materials and finished goods.
• Protect finished goods quality with triangulation testing.
• Design and improve QC processes, docs, and systems.
• Make real-time accept/reject decisions; escalate only ambiguous cases.
• Lead investigations into non-conforming materials and CAPA actions.
• Maintain lab documentation, SOPs, calibration and qualification.
• Track QC KPIs and report on turnaround time and issues.
• Grow and lead a QC team as Osmo scales.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Warehouse, Production and AI team.
