Job summary

Encore Global in Austin seeks a Director, Event Technology to lead venue AV operations, drive revenue, and ensure World-Class service. You will manage a small team, coordinate with venue partners, and optimize profitability while delivering exceptional customer experiences.

The role emphasizes cross-functional leadership, inventory control, and on-site problem solving for events with a focus on quality and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of audio visual experience.
• 1+ years of supervisory experience.
• 2+ years of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• Sales experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with computer hardware and software.
• Valid driver’s license required for team members who may operate vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Deliver World-Class service by cultivating and maintaining relationships with clients and Encore staff.
• Manage location P&L and develop action plans to address deficiencies and grow the business.
• Perform and direct daily floor operations including scheduling, equipment setups, operation and strikes.
• Act as on-site technician for events and troubleshoot equipment/ software issues.
• Create and present quotes and proposals to customers and coordinate with venue bookings.
