Job summary

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking a seasoned Event Management leader to supervise the event planning team, ensuring seamless turnover from sales to operations and back. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related area.
• 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 2 years experience in the related area.

Responsibilities

• Assign events to the Event Planning team and oversee space and room blocks.
• Communicate and execute safety procedures and train staff accordingly.
• Lead activities to support the Event Management strategy and review events with direct reports.
• Review event complexity to prevent service issues and ensure smooth operations.
• Manage customer budgets to maximize revenue and meet needs; maximize revenue opportunities.
• Oversee catering menu development and lead Event Management meetings.
