Job summary

Marriott International seeks an accomplished Event Operations Manager to oversee daily event service, banquet, and technology operations. You will lead the event operations team, maximize revenue opportunities during events, and manage department financial performance.

The role requires strong leadership, compliance with safety and sanitation standards, and collaboration with culinary, HR, and sales teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences across meetings and conventions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in the event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related professional area.
• 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 2 years experience in the event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related professional area.

Responsibilities

• Manages Event Operations and Budgets by developing business plans and setting measurable goals.
• Oversees event logistics, safety procedures, and cost control to maximize guest satisfaction and revenue.
• Leads Event Operations teams and coordinates with culinary and HR to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.

Education
