Job summary

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts in Honolulu is seeking an experienced Event Operations Manager to lead event services, banquet and technology operations. You will supervise the event operations team, ensure top-tier service during events, and maximize revenue with up-selling while controlling costs.

The role emphasizes guest satisfaction, profitability, and compliance with corporate standards, SOPs, and safety procedures. A strong background in hotel event management is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in the event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related professional area.
• 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 2 years experience in the event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related professional area.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements the business plan and long term strategies for event operations.
• Oversees the execution of event logistics and the related transitions between all event phases.
• Maintains function space and core house areas are cleaned and maintained.
• Ensures staff are trained in safety procedures and emergency protocols.
• Monitors budgets and cost controls to maximize profitability.
• Works with Culinary and HR teams to ensure compliance with laws and standards.

Education
