Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. seeks a Senior Director of Learning & Development to lead enterprise learning strategies, governance, and scalable solutions across the organization, partnering with executives to strengthen workforce capability and leadership development.

Responsibilities include overseeing LMS and learning technologies, measuring program impact, budgeting, vendor management, and mentoring L&D staff to foster a culture of continuous learning throughout the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Education, Communications, or related field required
• Master’s Degree preferred
• More than 10 years of progressive experience leading learning and development, organizational development, talent development, or related functions required
• 3-5 years of experience developing and implementing enterprise learning strategies within a large, complex healthcare organization required
• Experience leading learning technologies, learning management systems, and enterprise learning operations required

Responsibilities

• Establishes and leads the enterprise Learning and Development Center of Excellence, defining governance, service delivery standards, service level agreements (SLAs), learning content standards, and operational processes to deliver consistent, high-quality learning solutions across the organization.
• Develops and executes the enterprise learning and development strategy to support organizational priorities, workforce capability, leadership effectiveness, employee engagement, and business performance.
• Partners with executive leadership and business leaders to assess organizational capability needs and develop scalable learning strategies that support workforce planning, organizational transformation, and strategic initiatives.
• Oversees the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise learning programs, including onboarding, leadership development, professional development, compliance education, technical training, and career development.
