Job summary

Valley Medical Center & Clinics seeks a Director of Learning and Development to lead enterprise learning, governance, and LMS strategy. You will translate organizational needs into prioritized learning programs across a multi-site health system and oversee onboarding, engagement, and performance initiatives.

The role requires a mature leader with deep expertise in adult learning, instructional design, and stakeholder management to drive workforce capability and organizational performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in learning and development, including at least five (5) years in leadership.
• Healthcare Experience Strongly Preferred.
• Experience leading learning professionals, teams, and cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience designing and implementing learning initiatives across a multi-site organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for enterprise learning operations and the LMS.
• Supervise the LMS Administrator and Organizational Development Partner.
• Lead the MyLearning governance operating model with executive oversight.
• Conduct organizational assessments with stakeholders to identify needs and gaps.
• Translate strategy and workforce needs into prioritized learning initiatives with outcomes.
• Manage the enterprise learning portfolio, budgets, and timelines.
• Exercise delegated authority for learning initiatives and resource allocation.
• Provide functional leadership to cross-functional teams and subject matter experts.
• Oversee New Employee Orientation and ongoing onboarding improvements.
• Oversee Employee Engagement and performance management activities.
• Liaise with executives to provide portfolio visibility and risk mitigation.
