Job summary

Reworld is seeking a Director of Electrical Engineering to lead the Electrical Design Engineering team across North America, supporting energy-from-waste facilities. You will oversee high-, medium-, and low-voltage systems, and collaborate with site teams to drive capital projects and feasibility studies that balance technical and economic considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering/Science (Electrical Engineering).
• 15–20 years in electrical engineering with at least 5 years of leadership.
• Experience with MV/HV systems and protection relaying.

Responsibilities

• Discipline/Design Engineering: Manage, prioritize, and assign work across the Electrical Engineering team and SMEs.
• Capital Projects: Lead electrical infrastructure design engineering for capital projects.
• Technical Programs: Lead technical programs of strategic importance to the company.
• Technical Standards: Develop, maintain, and improve electrical specifications/design standards library.
• Operations Support: Provide engineering support to operations and technology upgrades.
• External Engineering Partners: Engage and manage outside firms for designs.
• Front-End Loading: Lead front-end design activities for capital projects with FEL processes.
• Coaching and Mentoring: Mentor SMEs and train on FEL tools.
• Feasibility Studies: Lead studies evaluating total cost of ownership.
