Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Director of Customer Solution Engineering to lead a team of Customer Solution Engineers and partner with Account CTOs to shape complex transformation deals. The role combines domain consulting, pre-sales solutioning, and hands‑on technical architecture to ensure differentiated, feasible solutions and seamless handoffs from pre‑sales to delivery.

Qualifications

15+ years of solution engineering or technical leadership experience.
5+ years leading senior technologists or pre-sales teams.
Experience in customer-facing, deal-driven environments.
Ability to navigate ambiguity and high-stakes client situations.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and scale a team of Customer Solution Engineers across accounts.
Set quality standards for solution design and technical storytelling.
Develop domain expertise, architecture depth, and hands-on engineering.
Provide mentorship on engagement strategy and executive presence.
Establish reusable accelerators, demos, reference architectures, and best practices.
Partner with leadership on hiring and performance management.
Drive opportunity shaping and solution definition in deals.
Guide architecture and feasibility validation for complex deals.
Review POCs, demos, and pilots to prove business value.
Support proposal strategy, pricing inputs, and risk mitigation.
Serve as escalation point for complex objections.
Set architectural guardrails and ensure production-readiness.
