Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking the founding engineering leader for its Data Platform Enablement team. You will start by hiring a small senior team, then grow into multiple domain-aligned groups, operating horizontally to improve reliability, cost efficiency, and governance across the platform.

You will influence through architecture, tooling, and guardrails, partnering with data-platform teams while shaping the future of centralized platform automation.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience with leadership in multiple teams.
• 5+ years leading engineering teams and 2+ years leading through other managers.
• Hands-on SRE practice at scale: SLOs, SLIs, incident command, capacity planning.
• Experience owning reliability for large stateful distributed systems.
• Proficient with distributed data infra and major analytics stacks.
• Strong executive communication; ability to influence beyond reporting lines.
• Experience in regulatory/residency constraints and auditable controls.
• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Stand up the data platform enablement team; hire engineers and leaders.
• Define operating model; scale from one group to several domains.
• Set technical bar with tooling, guardrails, and self-serve capabilities.
• Own org design and sequencing of teams to address platform risk.
• Build cloud automation to provision stateful data platforms across regions.
• Develop end-to-end validation and continuous health checks for deployments.
• Standardize observability; drive proactive incident response and cost control.
• Drive resilience, capacity planning, and governance across all data platforms.
