CrowdStrike is seeking a Director of Engineering for Data Infrastructure & Reliability to lead a centralized Data Platform Enablement function across regions. You will hire engineers, define operating models, and set governance to improve reliability, cost efficiency, and compliance across the data platform.

You will own end-to-end validation, cloud expansion automation, observability, and executive-level communication, partnering with data platform teams to scale stateful systems globally.

Qualificações

• 12+ years of software engineering experience
• 5+ years leading engineering teams, including 2+ years leading through other managers
• Track record building, growing, retaining platform/SRE/infrastructure teams
• Hands-on grounding in SRE practices at scale: SLOs, SLIs, error budgets
• Experience owning reliability for large-scale stateful distributed systems
• Fluent with distributed data infrastructure: streaming, OLAP, search, object storage
• Ownership of infrastructure cost portfolio and cross-team optimization
• Strong executive communication and influence without authority

Responsabilidades

• Stand up the Data Platform Enablement team, hiring engineers and defining operating model
• Hire and lead engineering managers and senior engineers
• Set technical bar with tooling, harnesses, and guardrails
• Own org design as the charter matures
• Build automation for cloud build-outs across regions and sovereign clouds
• Develop end-to-end validation from sensor to query
• Establish observability standards and incident response
• Drive cost engineering and optimization
• Manage capacity planning and game-day practices
• Automate residency compliance and data proof points
• Craft executive narratives and cross-functional influence
