Job summary

CrowdStrike Inc. is seeking a founding engineering leader to form a centralized Data Platform Enablement team.

You will hire and shape a senior team, build platform-wide automation, and drive guardrails for reliability, cost efficiency, and compliance across data platform domains. You will oversee cross-functional collaboration with product, security, and cloud teams, ensuring scalable, automated testing and governance across regions.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years leading engineering teams and at least 2 years leading through other managers.
• A track record of building, growing, and retaining high-performing platform or infrastructure teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Hands-on grounding in SRE practice at scale: SLOs, SLIs, incident command, capacity planning.

Responsibilities

• Stand up the team: define operating model, hire engineers, bring in senior operators.
• Lead engineering managers and technical leads as the team grows into multiple groups.
• Set the technical bar: tooling, harnesses, and guardrails for broad adoption.
• Own org design: form and recharter teams aligned to platform risk.
• Build automation for stateful data platform systems in cloud tooling.
• Own time-to-launch per cloud and region as a headline metric.
• Develop testing system tracing data from sensor to query validation.
