Job summary

RentSpree in Seattle is seeking a Head of Data to lead our Data Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, and Data Strategy as a single org reporting to the CTO. You’ll turn data into a core competitive advantage with proprietary rental data and ML-driven products.

As a key member of the leadership team, you’ll shape data assets, governance, culture, and team growth while collaborating with executives and global teams to scale impact.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data, including 3+ years leading analytics or data science teams.
• Experience partnering with data engineering to set warehouse architecture priorities.
• Experience shipping ML-powered features and operating them in production.
• Fluency with modern data stack tools and SQL/Python for code review.
• Ability to partner with Engineering, Product, Finance, and executives to drive data strategy.
• Experience building a self-serve analytics culture with a single source of truth.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Executives and Product to drive product strategy through data.
• Own strategic data and ML roadmap and define governance and data assets.
• Define unified customer profiles, segmentation, and journey tracking.
• Set standard for experimentation lifecycle from design to causal readout.
• Lead Analytics team; review work, set quality bars, prioritize requests.
• Grow analytics self-serve tooling and semantic layer adoption across units.
• Lead Data Engineering through manager; own architecture and governance.
• Scale the data organization with hiring, coaching, and career development.
• Represent Data to executives and the Board; align roadmap with business outcomes.
• Oversee vendor and tooling strategy for analytics stack.
