Job summary

RentSpree seeks a Head of Data in Seattle to lead our Data organization across Data Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, and Data Strategy. You’ll report to the CTO and shape a data-driven future for pricing, risk, and growth.

This player-coach role combines strategic leadership with hands-on review of models and pipelines, guiding a globally distributed team in Seattle and Bangkok while maintaining a strong data culture.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data with 3+ years leading analytics or data science teams.
• Experience partnering with data engineering to set warehouse architecture and priorities.
• Experience shipping ML-powered features in production.
• Hands-on SQL/Python to review team work.
• Ability to partner with Engineering, Product, Design, Finance, and executives to drive data-driven strategy.
• Experience building a self-serve analytics culture with a single source of truth for metrics.
• Experience implementing data governance practices in a growing org.
• Excellent communication for non-technical audiences.
• Ability to balance strategic and hands-on work in data initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Executives and Product to drive data-driven strategy and roadmap.
• Own the strategic data asset & ML roadmap and prioritization.
• Define and manage the GTM data foundation and unified customer profiles.
• Define and measure experimentation lifecycle and key metrics.
• Lead Analytics team; review work, ensure quality, prioritize requests.
• Scale self-serve analytics and maintain semantic layer for adoption.
• Oversee Data Engineering pipeline architecture, governance, and reliability.
• Grow the data organization through hiring, coaching, and development.
• Represent Data to executives and the Board; translate forecasts into a roadmap.
