Job summary

Great American Insurance Group is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to join the Enterprise Analytics team. This on-site role embraces a four-day-in-office schedule with one remote day, collaborating across analytics, data management, and product teams to deliver trusted analytic products.

You will translate business questions into measurable outcomes, develop semantic models, and guide end-user adoption while liaising with executives on product value and impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Computer Science or a related field.
• 4+ years of advanced experience in business analysis, analytics development, business intelligence, data modeling, product delivery, or a related discipline.
• Experience designing or maintaining BI applications, analytic products, or semantic models is required.
• Practical experience using AI-assisted tools to improve analysis or development is preferred; machine-learning model development is not required.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes complex business issues and translates questions into requirements for analytic products.
• Partners with stakeholders to define concepts, measures, relationships, rules, and requirements for reports and dashboards.
• Designs, develops, tests, and maintains reusable semantic models as core components of analytic products.
• Creates and maintains metadata, data definitions, lineage, and usage guidance for analytic products.
• Develops end-user guidance and training to support adoption of analytic products.
• Manages the analytic product lifecycle by defining success measures and monitoring adoption and impact.
• Advises business stakeholders on analytics and AI-assisted use cases and product direction.
• Prioritizes opportunities with product managers and leaders to deliver incremental value.
• May participate in talent decisions and coach junior staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
