Motorola Solutions seeks a Director of Computer Vision to drive the technical vision and engineering execution for our platform, emphasizing scalable AI infrastructure and end-to-end ML lifecycle across edge and cloud environments.

The role requires 10+ years of leadership in CV, deep ML expertise, and the ability to scale a distributed team of 50–100 engineers while delivering mission-critical video security solutions worldwide.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of technical leadership leading computer vision teams and orgs.
• Deep expertise in computer vision, ML algorithms, and MLOps lifecycle (5+ years hands-on).
• Executive strategy: define long-term vision, roadmaps, and metrics.
• Manage distributed engineering/research org of 50–100 people across geographies.
• Strong analytical and research skills in AI performance, real-time video, and optimization.
• Translate ambiguous product concepts into concrete technical roadmaps.
• Start-up mentality: ownership, action, and working with ambiguity.
• Domain knowledge in public safety or security software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define long-term research agenda for foundational CV capabilities.
• Provide executive technical leadership and set architecture/roadmap for the CV platform.
• Lead recruitment, mentoring and attraction of top talent across geographies.
• Own end-to-end MLOps and AI infrastructure across edge and cloud.
• Define technical performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
• Evaluate cutting-edge CV tech and manage build-vs-buy decisions.
