Job summary

Crusoe is seeking a senior Engineering Operations leader to own and scale the operating system for our Cloud Engineering group. You will define and own SLOs/SLIs, incident follow-ups, capacity tracking, and operational data, while partnering across engineering, SRE, data science, and product to drive accountability and clear ownership.

You’ll begin as a solo contributor, shaping the function’s growth, and evolving metrics and cadences to support executive reviews and the business impact on

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering, SRE, technical program management, or a technical product role, close enough to production systems to know what an SLO breach means.
• Track record of leading org-wide programs at staff level or above and driving accountability across senior engineering leaders.
• Able to start as a team of one and prove impact before headcount.
• Experience in high-growth infrastructure environments with evolving processes.
• Natural coordinator who works across teams without formal authority.
• Can turn multi-source data into a clear picture of organizational health.
• Designed operating rhythms that leaders actually use and keep them lightweight.

Responsibilities

• Own the standing Engineering Operations programs: SLO/SLI, incident management, change safety, capacity delivery tracking, and operational data.
• Define and track metrics showing how the org runs, grows, builds, and enables itself.
• Partner with engineering, SRE, data engineering, and product to ensure accurate operational data.
• Ensure operations run smoothly across all functional areas.
• Work toward a single pane of glass for organizational health.
• Own the weekly executive Engineering Operations review including data, pre-reads, owners, dates, and next steps.
