Job summary

Crusoe is hiring for a senior Engineering Operations leader in San Francisco to own the operating system for Cloud Engineering. You will define and sustain SLOs, incident follow-ups, and capacity delivery, while shaping the function as it grows.

You will partner with engineering, SRE, data science, and product to ensure trusted data and clear accountability across the org. You will start as a solo contributor and expand the function as scope grows, driving measurable improvements in operational

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering, SRE, technical program management, or a technical product role.
• Track record leading org-wide programs at staff level or above.
• Able to start as a team of one and prove impact before hiring.
• Experience in high-growth infrastructure environments with evolving processes.
• Natural coordinator across engineering, SRE, and product leads.
• Turn multi-source data into a clear health picture for leadership decisions.
• Designed operating rhythms (weekly reviews, business reviews) used by leaders.
• Scrappy, low-ego, high-drive with ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Own Engineering Operations programs: SLO/SLI, incident follow‑up, change safety, capacity tracking.
• Define and track metrics showing how the org runs, grows, builds, and enables itself.
• Ensure operational data accuracy with a single source of truth for each metric.
• Collaborate across engineering, TPM, product, SRE, data scientists, customer success, and data center ops.
• Develop a single pane of glass to show organizational health at a glance.
