Job summary

Franz Family Bakery in Seattle seeks a Chief Engineer to oversee maintenance, budgeting and safety across a large manufacturing facility. You will interact with all departments, vendors and customers to ensure reliable operations and continuous improvement.

The role requires 5+ years in maintenance leadership and strong project management. BS/BA degree preferred; CMMS/CAD experience and advanced Microsoft Office skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; extensive maintenance management experience required.
• 5+ years leading maintenance teams in a large manufacturing facility.
• Experience with CMMS and CAD is a plus; strong analytical skills expected.
• Proven ability to plan, direct and optimize maintenance budgets and projects.

Responsibilities

• Direct maintenance team in preventive and predictive activities.
• Lead capital projects, including vendors, installation and commissioning.
• Manage budgets and resource allocation to meet business goals.
• Ensure safety standards and regulatory compliance across the facility.
• Collaborate with departments, vendors and customers to optimize processes.
• Attend and run regular meetings; set department goals and track progress.
