Job summary

Bimbo QSR Chicago is seeking an experienced Maintenance & Engineering Supervisor to lead our maintenance team across bakery equipment and plant systems. You will drive safety, reliability, and operational excellence while mentoring technicians and coordinating repairs.

Qualifications

Five+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or bakery environment.
Two+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the schedule and daily activities of maintenance technicians, mechanics, and leads.
Provide coaching, training, and support to develop individual and team capabilities.
Assign and monitor work orders, ensuring timely and high-quality execution.
Facilitate effective communication between shifts and departments to maintain continuous operations.
Conduct performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and team meetings as needed.
Oversee preventative and corrective maintenance for bakery production equipment and utilities, including HVAC, refrigeration, boilers, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
Monitor and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, PLC, and control systems.
Ensure repairs align with safety, quality, and production goals.
Support continuous improvement efforts, equipment upgrades, and new installations.
