Job summary

Alpha Baking Co., Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee PM, safety, and maintenance across a food production facility. You will supervise mechanics, train staff, and ensure compliance with GMPs, EPA rules, and safety policies.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on electrical and mechanical skills, and bakery experience. Collaboration with production and quality teams is essential to keep equipment performing at peak efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Electrical – 3 phase 480VAC, control circuits of 110VAC and 24DC, AB PLCs
• Welding – TIG and stick
• Cutting - torch, plasma cutter
• Fabricating – guard, covers, catch pans, etc.
• Drilling/ Milling – power drills, drill press, mill and lathe machines
• MS Office – Outlook, Excel, Word

Responsibilities

• Ensure machinery and support systems operating at maximum efficiency.
• Oversee preventive maintenance (PM) program and schedule.
• Oversee the Red Tag program to monitor adherence to food safety goals through the maintenance, sanitation and quality verification steps for all maintenance work performed in food safety risk areas.
• Maintain a good working relationship with all other departments.
• Oversee training and cross-training of mechanics in performing a wide range of mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Assist with training efforts as needed.
• Oversee completion of project jobs from BOM to completion.
• Ensure all personnel follow safety, GMPs, security and PPE policies and guidelines.
• Ensure all mechanics follow EPA rules and regulations.
• Administer disciplinary action per policy.
• Oversee isolation of repetitive line problems with leadership to solve.
• Communicate timely on pertinent issues.
• Notify QA Manager of potential food safety risk.
• Oversee scheduling of work for maintenance personnel on shift.
• Communicate company policies consistently.
