Job summary

Genesys seeks a Director of Sales, AI and Experience Orchestration in North America to lead a specialist overlay team, partnering with Account Executives to drive AI-enabled CX sales. You will coach, scale, and influence enterprise deals while shaping strategic territory coverage and executive engagement.

This role emphasizes building a high-performing team, aligning sales motions, and translating customer challenges into measurable AI outcomes across complex, strategic opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of enterprise software sales, including AI solutions in the CX domain.
• 5+ years leading specialist overlay / pre-sales teams.
• Strong understanding of AI powered CX or orchestration tech.
• Proven ability to influence outcomes through partnership with AEs and sales leadership without direct ownership.
• Demonstrated success supporting enterprise sales in driving new logo acquisition and expansion growth.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and executive engagement skills.
• Strong collaboration skills in matrixed sales environments.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities through complex sales cycles.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop AI and Experience Orchestration Directors ( ICs ) as specialist overlay sellers.
• Define operating models for AI specialists with Account Executives on accounts.
• Drive AI-focused sales motions to support pipeline and revenue goals.
• Align AI specialist coverage with subregional sales leadership.
• Translate customer challenges into AI use cases and measurable value.
• Exhibit executive presence and consultative selling in engagements.
• Support enterprise opportunities with senior stakeholders and sales leadership.
• Monitor AI market trends and adjust enablement and messaging.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve go-to-market effectiveness.
