Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an Engineering Manager for AI Dev Tools to own the agentic coding platform end-to-end, from product bets to infrastructure including CI, sandboxing, and vendor contracts.

You will lead a team of senior engineers, set security posture for autonomous coding agents, manage AI spend guardrails, and collaborate with the CTO to shape the future of AI-native software development.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of engineering people leadership experience.
• Direct, hands-on experience with agentic coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex.
• Experience owning a significant vendor or infrastructure contract end-to-end.
• Comfort making autonomy/risk tradeoff calls on AI systems.
• Track record of leading through ambiguity across multiple problem domains.
• Strong, direct communication with senior/executive stakeholders on strategy.

Responsibilities

• Own the agentic coding roadmap and interaction points (Slack, web, CLI).
• Own accuracy/coverage roadmap for agentic code review and cost tradeoffs.
• Set security and risk posture for autonomous coding agents and sandboxing model.
• Define and enforce AI infrastructure spend guardrails for the team.
• Lead and grow a team of senior engineers; hire, mentor, level engineers.
• Partner with engineering leadership on the direction of AI-native software development.
