Job summary

UPMC is recruiting a Pathologist for the Head and Neck Pathology Center of Excellence. The role requires subspecialty training in Head and Neck Surgical Pathology and will be based in an academic clinical track setting at UPMC Presbyterian-Shadyside Hospitals.

The successful candidate will collaborate with Head and Neck surgical and oncology groups, participate in translational research, and mentor pathology fellows and residents while contributing to national and international COE activities.

Qualifications

• Must have an MD/DO and Board certified in Anatomic Pathology with specialty training and academic interest in thoracic pathology.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Pennsylvania is required.
• A good record of and commitment to scholarly activities and publications.

Responsibilities

• Sign out of surgical pathology cases, as needed.
• Mentor and teach Head and Neck Pathology fellows and Pathology residents.
• Participate in research initiatives and translational pathology.
• Lead and contribute to diagnostic and research initiatives using shared resources.
