Job summary

UPMC Southwestern PA is recruiting a Pathologist for the Head and Neck Pathology Center of Excellence. The appointment is in the academic clinical track with subspecialty training and scholarly interest in Head and Neck Surgical Pathology.

The Head and Neck COE at UPMC Presbyterian-Shadyside offers collaboration with cancer center teams, access to translational pathology resources, and opportunities to lead and teach fellows and residents while supporting multidisciplinary research initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must have an M.D./DO and Board certified in Anatomic Pathology with specialty training and academic interest in thoracic pathology.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Pennsylvania is required.
• A good record of and commitment to scholarly activities and publications.

Responsibilities

• Sign out surgical pathology cases as needed.
• Mentor and teach Head and Neck Pathology fellows and residents.
• Participate in research initiatives and translational pathology using shared resources.
• Provide leadership to develop diagnostic and research initiatives.
