Job summary

Five Iron Golf Cleveland LLC is seeking a Head Chef to lead a high-volume kitchen supporting its sports bars, restaurants, and events. You will build and mentor a strong culinary team, develop menus for events, and ensure top quality while controlling costs.

Work closely with the General Manager and VP of Culinary to deliver exceptional guest experiences, manage inventory, and uphold brand standards. This exempt full-time role requires nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Culinary school degree or professional certifications such as CEC.
• Minimum 5 years significant culinary leadership experience in a high volume and fast-paced environment.
• Proven track record of building and leading high-performing kitchen teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
• English fluency required; Spanish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing kitchen team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Hire and oversee onboarding of culinary team members.
• Oversee inventory management, purchasing, scheduling, and food safety compliance.
• Develop and test new recipes, ensuring they meet quality and cost standards.
• Collaborate with the events team to design menus and ensure seamless execution of all culinary aspects during events.
• Maintain a high standard of presentation and service to deliver exceptional event experiences.
• Address guest feedback professionally to improve offerings.
