Job summary

Five Iron Golf is seeking a Head Chef to lead a high-performing kitchen team, delivering exceptional guest experiences across its sports bars, restaurants, and events. You will evaluate menus, manage inventory and costs, and ensure food safety while upholding Five Iron Golf's brand identity.

Collaborate with the General Manager - Social and the VP of Culinary to drive growth, maintain budgeted food costs, and execute seamless events in space.

Qualifications

• Culinary school degree or professional certifications such as CEC, or commensurate work experience
• Minimum 5 years significant culinary leadership experience in a high volume and fast-paced environment
• Proven track record of building and leading high-performing kitchen teams
• Strong culinary expertise and passion for food and innovation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
• Working knowledge of Google Suite and restaurant software
• English fluency; Spanish is a plus

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing kitchen team and foster a collaborative environment.
• Hire and onboard culinary staff and set clear expectations.
• Develop recipes and menus; test and align with cost standards.
• Partner with the General Manager and VP of Culinary to meet budget and events goals.
• Oversee inventory, purchasing, scheduling, and food safety compliance.
• Ensure high-quality presentation and guest experiences at events and daily service.
• Collaborate with beverage program for food and drink pairings.
• Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and cost control.
