Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Head Cashier to lead a fast-paced front-end team and deliver exceptional customer service. You will direct Cashiers and Courtesy Clerks, ensure smooth register operations, and uphold store standards across floors and restrooms.

The role requires strong leadership, reliable scheduling, and the ability to train new staff while maintaining a friendly, service-driven environment for customers purchasing healthy foods.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with HS diploma or GED and 1–2 years cashiering experience plus leadership training.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with strong customer service skills.
• Able to operate front-end equipment (register, calculator, scanner) and handle cash accurately.
• Good communication, team player, able to multi-task and stay organized.
• Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs and move carts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure excellent customer service by guiding Cashiers and Courtesy Clerks.
• Assist with customer issues at the register.
• Schedule and supervise proper meal and rest breaks per policy and state law.
• Assist in hiring and training new Cashiers and disciplinary actions.
• Oversee store sweeps and maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Monitor exit doors for security and loss prevention.
