Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Chief Building Engineer in Los Angeles to take full responsibility for the physical plant, lead maintenance across mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and related systems, and implement preventive maintenance per company guidelines.

The role oversees vendors, ensures energy efficiency, and maintains logs and reporting for management and the Board. Requires California licensure, 3–5 years of high-rise engineering, and strong leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 3-5 years high rise property engineering experience.
• Proven supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee mechanical/electrical/HVAC/plumbing systems.
• Maintain preventive maintenance program and logs.
• Coordinate with vendors and on-site teams for repairs and upgrades.
• Ensure safety compliance and reporting.
