Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Costa Mesa, CA seeks an experienced Building Engineer 3 to lead the engineering team, supervise preventive maintenance, and ensure safe, reliable facility operations. The role focuses on overseeing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety systems, and BAS monitoring.

You will coordinate emergency repairs, manage permits, and liaise with vendors while maintaining high safety and performance standards across client facilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of experience with commercial building systems.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Universal CFC Certification required.
• Working knowledge of CMMS and BAS platforms.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, technical manuals, work orders, and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Supervise engineering team operations and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Inspect building equipment to ensure safety and operational standards.
• Maintain and troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, and generators.
• Monitor BAS, respond to alarms, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Coordinate emergency repairs and assign work based on priorities.
• Manage permits and vendor coordination for facility work.
