ABM Industries is seeking a skilled Building Engineer in Los Angeles to maintain and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and BAS systems across facility operations. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, safety compliance, and collaboration with property management and vendors.

The position demands at least 2 years in building engineering or facilities management, a Local 501 BOMA Certified Engineer status, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical training, apprenticeship, or advanced certification in building operations, engineering, or a related trade preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in building engineering, facilities management, or a related field.
• Current Local 501 BOMA Certified Engineer status required

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Address and resolve building system malfunctions in a timely manner to minimize disruptions.
• Respond to service requests and emergencies during and after business hours.
• Schedule and coordinate service calls with internal teams and external vendors.
• Apply Local 501 BOMA engineering standards and best practices in all maintenance and operational activities.
