Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Boise, Idaho, seeks a Staff Engineer for HIG Component Validation to drive validation coverage and debug for advanced HBM products. You will translate develop intent into tests, review specs, and perform root-cause analysis across design and verification teams.

You will implement and analyze validation runs, lead product debugging, and apply automation and AI-enabled tooling to accelerate tasks within Micron’s global validation organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in memory semiconductors.
• Strong understanding of DRAM and HBM memory technologies.
• Experience reading and debugging circuit schematics to isolate failure causes.
• Post-silicon validation experience including root-cause analysis.
• Proficient with Linux, Python/C/C++, Verilog, UVM, and version control systems.

Responsibilities

• Translate DRAM/HBM develop intent and architecture into verification scope and test cases.
• Contribute to validation of new features with Design Validation and Systems Engineering.
• Review design specs, schematics, and datasheets; provide design feedback.
• Read, analyze, and debug circuit blueprints to detect failure mechanisms.
• Perform root-cause analysis of electrical failures in validation.
• Apply automation and modern tooling (Python, C/C++, Verilog, UVM) to improve efficiency.
• Adopt AI-enabled workflows for automated code generation and failure analysis.
