Job summary

Micron Technology in Boise, Idaho seeks a Principal Engineer for the HBM New Product Validation team. You will define architecture-aware validation strategies, prepare pre-silicon environments, and lead investigations across design and validation groups to ensure robust future-generation HBM products.

Responsibilities include driving readiness, evaluating new DRAM/HBM features, and promoting AI-enabled validation methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field; 8+ years in semiconductors.
• Proven expertise in pre-silicon and post-silicon debugging of DRAM/HBM issues.
• Extensive experience analyzing schematics and doing timing-accurate simulations.
• Experience with Verilog/SystemVerilog, Python, Linux, and version control systems (git, svn, Perforce).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with a track record of technical influence.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture-aware validation strategies and coverage for future HBM products.
• Prepare validation readiness and test environments before first silicon to reduce risk.
• Evaluate DRAM/HBM features and define validation requirements pre-DBR.
• Develop validation strategies for new features and promote reuse across generations.
• Leverage DRAM/HBM knowledge to define methodologies, risks, and robustness.
• Challenge design assumptions using silicon data, simulation results, and risk analysis.
• Use Verilog/SystemVerilog simulations to identify gaps pre-silicon.
