Job summary

Republic Services is hiring a HazMat Field Driver/Technician to transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste using Class A trucks. This role may require overnight shifts and involves pull-rates across various trailer types, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

You will complete pre/post-trip inspections, maintain logs and manifests, and ensure proper packaging, labeling, and load securement in accordance with DOT rules.

Qualifications

• A valid Class A commercial driver's license with hazardous materials and tanker endorsements (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
• MVR meets company policy standards
• Ability to pass 40-hour HAZWOPER Training on hire

Responsibilities

• Safely operate trucks including roll-offs, tankers, tractor-trailers, and box trucks.
• Perform LTL pickups and DOT/MOT pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain driver documents: logbook, permits, trip reports, and waste manifests.
• Comply with DOT regulations for hazardous waste packaging, loading, labeling, and segregation.
• Communicate effectively with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Participate in Site Safety program and required training.
