Job summary

Clean Harbors in High Point, NC is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to operate a variety of heavy and light trucks at customer sites, including vacuum trucks and roll offs, performing driving and non-driving duties related to hazardous waste clean-up.

The role offers an hourly range of $25.00–$30.00 with a two-week training academy, paid travel, and per diem. Benefits include health coverage after 30 days, 401K with company match, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Ability to operate a manual transmission.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsement required.
• Ability to use various mobile devices.
• Must pass background check, drug test and medical exam as required by position.
• OSHA respirator facial hair standards must be met where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by following safe work practices and company policies.
• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers as part of a team.
• Operate a variety of Class A trucks.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Perform site labor to fulfill customer needs.
• Place placards to meet DOT requirements/regulations.
• Maintain daily logs and time sheets.
• Follow all local, state, and federal regulations.
• Safely operate vehicles per DOT and company guidelines.
• Observe environmental health and safety guidelines.
• Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis.
• Site remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials.
