Job summary

Clean Harbors in High Point, NC is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to operate a variety of heavy and light trucks at customer sites. The role includes driving, loading/unloading, and on-site hazardous waste cleanup with on-call emergency response on a rotating schedule.

You will attend a two-week training academy; travel expenses are paid and per diem provided. Competitive hourly pay with comprehensive benefits, 401K with company match, and tuition reimbursement offered.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Ability to operate a manual transmission.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required.
• Ability to use various mobile devices.
• Must perform physical functions as part of job duties.
• Be able to pass a background check and drug test.
• Comply with respiratory protection standards where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial trucks safely and in compliance with DOT rules.
• Load and unload trucks and assist field laborers as needed.
• Perform on-site and off-site driving duties for hazardous waste cleanup.
• Maintain daily logs and time sheets.
• Complete site-related duties and perform decontamination if required.
• Be on-call for emergency response on rotating basis.
