Job summary

Patriot Environmental Services is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in a demanding field services role. You will drive and operate multiple heavy vehicles, prepare Haz-Mat & Non-Haz manifests, and ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and safety protocols.

The position requires a valid CDL A, Hazmat endorsement, and 2–5 years of related experience. We offer benefits including PTO, holidays, health insurance, and a 401(k) with company matching.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Must hold or obtain CDL Class A and Hazmat/Tanker endorsements.
• 2–5 years of heavy equipment driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner.
• Operate at least two types of heavy equipment including but not limited to 50/70 Barrel Vacuum and Single Roll-Off Trucks.
• Make deliveries in a safe and timely manner.
• Prepare Haz-Mat & Non-Haz manifests.
• Maintain full compliance with DOT, FMCSA, daily ELD logs, timesheets and vehicle inspection reports.
• Perform simple maintenance and cleaning of response vehicle and assigned truck.
• Answer 24/7 Emergency Response calls when on stand-by.
• Work long hours and overtime, including nights or weekend shifts.
• Comply with the Random Drug Testing Program.
