Job summary

Patriot Environmental Services is seeking a heavy equipment operator in the Western United States. You will operate multiple heavy machines, make safe deliveries and prepare Haz-Mat manifests, while maintaining DOT logs and vehicle inspections.

Required are a Class A CDL with Hazmat/Tanker endorsements, 40-hour HAZWOPER, and 2–5 years of heavy equipment and environmental services experience. The role includes long hours, overtime, and a benefits package with PTO, health insurance and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Commercial Driver License (CDL) required; Class A preferred.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER required.
• 2–5 years of heavy equipment driving experience required.
• 1–5 years in hazardous waste control/environmental services preferred.
• Pre-employment: drug/alcohol screening and background check.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate a minimum of two types of heavy equipment including 50/70 Barrel Vacuum and Single Roll-Off Trucks.
• Make deliveries in a safe and timely manner.
• Prepare Haz-Mat & Non-Haz manifests.
• Maintain DOT, FMCSA, daily ELD logs, timesheets and vehicle inspection reports.
• Perform simple maintenance and cleaning of response vehicle and assigned truck.
• Answer 24/7 Emergency Response calls when on stand‑by.
• Work long hours and overtime, including days, nights or weekends.
• Comply with the Random Drug Testing Program.
