Job summary

Patriot Environmental Services is seeking a qualified Heavy Equipment Operator/Driver to join our team in California. The role requires a current CDL, Hazmat endorsement, and 2–5 years of heavy equipment experience. Expect to operate 50/70 Vacuum and Roll-Off trucks, manage HazMat manifests, and maintain DOT/FMCSA compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent highly preferred.
• Current Commercial Driver License, required. Class A preferred.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsement, required.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER required.
• 2 - 5 years of experience in heavy equipment driving and operation required.
• 1 - 5 years of hazardous waste control and environmental services industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the priority by following safe work practices.
• Drive and operate heavy equipment including 50/70 Barrel Vacuum and Single Roll-Off Trucks.
• Make deliveries in a safe and timely manner.
• Prepare Haz-Mat & Non-Haz manifests.
• Maintain DOT, FMCSA, daily ELD logs, timesheets and vehicle inspection reports.
• Perform simple maintenance and cleaning of response vehicle and assigned truck.
• Perform housekeeping and custodial duties as required.
• Answer 24/7 Emergency Response calls when on standby.
• Work long hours and overtime, including nights or weekends.
• Other directives may be assigned.
• Comply with the Random Drug Testing Program.
