Job summary

Patriot Environmental Services in the Western United States is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Driver to support environmental service operations. You will operate multiple heavy vehicles, deliver safely, and maintain compliance with DOT/FMCSA and HazMat rules.

This role requires a Class A CDL, Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, a 40-hour HAZWOPER, and 2–5 years of experience. You must pass pre-employment screenings and be prepared for long hours, shifts, and on-call emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CDL Class A license required; Class A preferred.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER required.
• 2–5 years of heavy equipment driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority and follow safe work practices.
• Drive and operate at least two types of heavy equipment (e.g., 50/70 Barrel Vacuum, Single Roll-Off Trucks).
• Make deliveries in a safe and timely manner.
• Prepare Haz-Mat & Non-Haz manifests.
• Maintain compliance with DOT, FMCSA, daily ELD logs, timesheets, and vehicle inspections.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of vehicles.
• Respond to 24/7 Emergency Calls during standby periods.
• Work long hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Comply with Random Drug Testing Program.
