Job summary

Patriot Environmental Services is seeking a Safety‑minded Heavy Equipment Operator to drive and operate heavy equipment, perform deliveries, and support emergency response efforts in the Western United States. The role requires a CDL (Class A preferred), Hazmat/Tanker endorsements, and 2–5 years of heavy equipment experience, plus 40-hour HAZWOPER.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Current Commercial Driver License (CDL) required; Class A preferred.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER required.
• 2–5 years of heavy equipment driving and environmental services experience.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize health and safety in all tasks and work practices.
• Drive and operate multiple heavy equipment types, including but not limited to 50/70 barrel vacuum and roll-off trucks.
• Make safe and timely deliveries and prepare hazmat/non-haz manifests.
• Maintain DOT/FMCSA logs, timesheets, and vehicle inspections.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance and cleaning; conduct housekeeping duties.
• Respond to 24/7 emergency calls; work overtime, including nights/weekends.
• Adhere to Random Drug Testing program and other directives.
