Job summary

Republic Services in Oregon is seeking a HazMat Field Driver/Technician to transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste using class A trucks and various trailers. The role includes 3–4 overnight shifts per week based on routes, with most weekends off.

You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, maintain logs and manifests, and ensure DOT/HazMat compliance. A valid Class A CDL with HazMat and tanker endorsements is required or endorsements achievable within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Class A CDL with HazMat and tanker endorsements or ability to obtain within 90 days from hire date.
• Pass 40-hour HAZWOPER Training upon hire.
• Strong attention to detail and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate trucks including roll-offs, tankers, tractor-trailers, and related equipment.
• Perform LTL pickups and ensure proper loading of waste.
• Maintain driver documents: logs, permits, trip reports, waste manifests, etc.
• Comply with DOT regulations for hazardous waste handling and transport; placarding, load securement, and labeling.
