Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a HazMat Field Driver/Technician to transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste using Class A trucks, including roll-offs, tankers, and van trailers. The role covers pickups and strict DOT compliance to ensure safe loading and transport.

This full-time position runs Monday–Friday with occasional overnight shifts. Benefits include medical, 401(k) with match, PTO, and a signing bonus. A valid CDL-A with HazMat/Tanker endorsements and HAZWOPER training are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements.
• Must pass 40-hour HAZWOPER training.
• MVR must meet company policy standards.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate trucks which may include roll-offs, tankers, gravel trains, tractor-trailers, box trucks, etc.
• Performs LTL (less than load) pickups.
• Maintains driver documents such as logs, permits, trip reports and waste manifests.
• Understand DOT regulations for hazardous waste collection, packaging and transportation.
