Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a HazMat Field Driver/Technician to transport waste streams safely using class A trucks and a variety of trailers. The role may include occasional straight truck duties, with a schedule that can include overnight shifts and weekends.

The position requires a valid CDL A with HazMat/Tanker endorsements and the ability to pass 40-hour HAZWOPER training. You will ensure compliance with DOT rules and maintain accurate logs and manifests.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A with HazMat and Tanker endorsements or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Must pass 40-hour HAZWOPER training on hire.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate trucks including roll-offs, tankers, and trailers for hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
• Perform LTL pickups and maintain required driver documents and manifests.
• Adhere to DOT regulations, load securement, placarding, labeling, and state weight limits.
• Inspect vehicle pre/post trip and utilize company tech as assigned.
• Interact with customers to ensure satisfaction and assist with site safety.
